On April 26-27, the Moscow Half Marathon - the largest race in Russia at distances of 5 km and 21.1 km - will take place.
April 26 - a race at a distance of 5 km will be held. Start at 10:00.
April 27 - will be a race at a distance of 21.1 km. Start at 09:00.
The route of the 5 km distance of the Moscow Half Marathon runs through the territory of the Olympic complex “Luzhniki” along the Alley of Glory and Luzhnetskaya embankment. Participants will have views of Moscow City, Vorobyov Embankment, the building of Moscow State University and the Grand Sports Arena “Luzhniki”.
In 2025, the participants of the half marathon distance (21.1 kilometers) will see the updated linear route of the Moscow Half Marathon. The start and finish of the race will be in different places. The half-marathon distance starts from University Square near the observation deck on Sparrow Hills and will finish inside the Grand Sports Arena of Luzhniki.
Participants will have views of the Lomonosov Moscow State University building, the building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the Crimean Bridge, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the monument to Peter the Great.
Where to support runners?
In the starting and finishing area of the Moscow Half Marathon from April 24 to 26 we will be waiting for all participants and fans in the tent called “Meeting Place”. Here you will be able to get fan attributes, learn all about the support zones, have fun and have a good time.
It is the spectators who turn a sporting event into a communal celebration. Come to support your friends and family and don't hesitate to cheer up unfamiliar runners. The start and finish area of the Moscow Half Marathon will be open for spectators. You will be able to walk runners to the entrance to the start corridor and watch the start and finish.
Please be aware of the security measures: on the day of the race the police will search personal belongings at the entrance, and traffic will be restricted.
