
Winter Sports Festival in Luzhniki: snowboards and tubing, master classes and recreation until the end of February!
On 1 December 2024, the Winter Sports Festival will start - a unique event that will take place on the Festival Square of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex and will last until 28 February 2025. The event will be part of the largest urban project of this winter - the festival ‘Winter in Moscow’. The organiser of the Winter Sports Festival in Luzhniki is the Department of Sports of Moscow.
The festival will unite Muscovites and guests of the capital on a spacious snowy ground, where everyone will find entertainment to their liking. The centre of attraction will be a multifunctional slide for tubing and snowboarding.The equipment can be rented absolutely free of charge.Throughout the festival, every weekend there will be master classes from professional snowboarders and autograph sessions with famous athletes.
The organisers have paid special attention to the variety of activities. During the New Year holidays from 28 December 2024 to 8 January 2025, exciting competitions and outdoor activities such as snow darts and snowshoe races await visitors.
Special programmes have been prepared for the youngest participants: slalom, master classes for making Christmas decorations, and festive entertainment that will bring joy and warmth even on the frostiest day.
The hospitable atmosphere of the festival is complemented by cosy corners for rest: hot tea, coffee and light snacks will be available in specially equipped areas.
The festival site will be open daily:
- weekdays from 12:00 to 20:00
- on weekends from 11:00 to 21:00
- Monday is a technical day (the site is not open)
The festival will not only give a great mood, but also demonstrate how important it is to lead an active lifestyle.It is expected to be attended by up to 50,000 people.
